Red Eyed Tree Frog
Red Eyed Tree Frog (Agalychnis callidryas) - A. callidryas, comes from Greek words kalos (beautiful) and dryas (a tree or wood nymph). They are found in tropical lowlands from southern Mexico, throughout Central America, and in northern South America. They protect themselves through startle coloration, which is when they flash huge bulging eyes and reveal huge webbed orange feet and bright blue and yellow flanks. Their bodies are a neon green, and they are nocturnal, non-poisonous carnivores.
